NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Dusty Davis will be kicking off the Driven to Read program at the Iredell County YMCA on Thursday, July 14th. Students from the YMCA’s Summer Camp will be able to participate in the program at home during the summer. The overall winner will receive a personal tour of Davis’ race shop in Mooresville.
Driven to Read is a merit based reading program designed to encourage youngsters to increase their reading proficiency through the power of racing. Aimed at elementary-age readers, kids in the program must read for 15 minutes to gain 1 mile on the track.
